I started modelling again just two days ago and I was able to create both of these.
The Iron Curtain was the first one and I was weirded out by how good it looked.
Since it's been so long since I last tried to model I thought I would have gotten worse,
but no, it seemed I became better! The break from modelling might've made me want to go further more in detailing.
Though that is weird since I believed that trying to model always or at least if there is time to model would helped in improving modelling skills,
but I think that made loose better judgement in my models because I was always exhausted and thought all of my models looked great.
The Chronosphere by comparison looked awful and it tooked getting a better material to make it look good.
The design wasn't as good as the Iron Curtain so I kept adding more details until I learned it was the material that was the actual problem.
But still, unlike the Iron Curtain, it wasn't fully redesigned which was what I wanted.
But this is a good start I guess since I liked the Soviet style first and I have to first learn to follow the curvy/round design of the Allies.
Right now I'm a bit confused about my skills. Looking at my old models makes me wonder about these two models.
Looking back at the things I posted then, with the pictures since I wanted to post always with either a picture or a gif,
made me feel disappointed with the designs.
It makes me wonder if my designs right now looked good since all the pics I've posted here were something I was proud of.
Again, when I looked back at them, the old models, they look very barren, very disappointing,
and I wonder if I still lack details in these new models as well.
I was also PM'd a while ago about me and my issue with lighting on Blender and was told to go to Blender Forge discord.
I haven't gotten there yet but I'll try and check soon.
Lastly, I've added somewhat of a border in the pics. Like how I wanted to post with pics or gifs,
I also wanted to add some sort of border for my pic/gif. These efforts were to learn AND improve my way of posting.
Of course, If I want to post things anywhere else I wanted to be able to make it look good.
This place has been where I wanted to practice.
By comparison, in Discord, my contents isn't usually seen outside of it which is why I prefer to post stuff here.
I do know about the Mod Haven discord, but still went and post here.
I liked BySc and even SaltedOld's posts here about their 3D models. I wanted to see them improve till it looked amazing!
Sadly, they stop posting here and I couldn't see how much they've improved in their models.
I wanted to keep everything I did here and continue on from me beginning to model and
how I handled people reacting to my stuff until the future where I don't know yet if I would become better.
Moreso, that new people can see that they could improve.
I'll try to post stuff here in Media Hut once per week since I might have gotten a hang on the coding stuff.
Plus I like the stuff TaranDahl is working on in the Pull Request for Phobos, so I could just wait and test the new stuff rather than asking "how to do this and that".
I know this is a long post which might look alarming looking at it but I just wanted to update on how I would be posting stuff.
My next posts should be more focused and improved compared to this one.
