I've used every possible combination of for CustomPalette=. specialred, specialred~~~.pal, specialredtem.pal, etc. and also used Pallete= but not of them worked.

CustomPalette= is used on weapon anims etc, building's use Palette=. You add the tag to the building's code, any anims attached to the building will then inherit the pal too.

[NXPROT]
Palette=specialred

Then use pal files named;

specialredtem.pal
specialredsno.pal
specialredurb.pal
etc

I knew buildings used Palette= as well as infantry and other technotypes, but I didn't expect that anims from them will also have to inherit the building's palette.

I've tested it and it worked.  I guess I didn't expect that to be the case for some anims. Thanks! Very Happy
