KABOOM crash when clicking on CnCNet button in main menu

I got this game running on linux in lutris. Everything works: Mission, LAN, Skirmish, except when I click on CnCNet.

The game crashes with a KABOOM window: "Zugriff verweigert." ("Permission denied")

I also managed to get all other cncnet games working. RA, RA2, TD... The cnc net online lobby works.

I suspect it could have something to do with linux file permissions.Perhaps someone else got it working.

Looks like it fails to create a socket for pinging servers.
