Subject description: Not working on hovers

Since the actual Trail tag works only for true aircraft, I'm trying to use AttachEffect.Animation= to add a trail to hover-like units.

Nothiing happens when using this, no trail shows.

Any ideas on how to add a trail to a hover ?

UseLineTrail= works on all game objects, you might need a longer LineTrailColorDecrement= as trails can be hidden by large units.

BTW Phobos adds new Laser Trails that can be fully customized.

UseLineTrail draws only a simple line, not nearly enough for some big engine exhaust like a similar to a V3 engine.

Ah you said "Trail" which is a LineTrail, what you meant is Trailer= which uses a shp anim.

AttachEffect.Animation= moves with the unit so the anim will never trail behind it. You can attach a TrailerAnim= to the AttachEffect.Animation= tho which should leave a trail behind the anim.

Looks like this actually work.
Is there a way to adjust it to be spawned at a different XYZ ? It shows in the middle of the unit instead of its tail.

No, trailers are always centered on the unit/anim.

Kratos has a customizable trailer system that lets you add multiple trailers with shp anims in different positions.
