I'm playing the Chain breaker mission and it really feels like the Allies have gotten a lot of love that makes them feel pretty OP against the Soviets.

Heavy tanks are killed by basically everything, Tank Killers seem to outrange Tesla Coils and aircraft can spot and kill submerged units.

I know that Allied and Soviet forces are supposed to compliment one another and play differently, but it really feels like someone sat down and said 'Hoe could the Allies counter X' and focused too much on that.

The Soviets are jumping at weak IMO.

Soviet units have more firepower than Allied ones. Heavy tanks for example don't have that much more HP than Medium tanks, but they deal much more damage.

Some other powerful units in the Soviet arsenal include Tesla tanks (cheaper, less armored but more damaging than Tank Destroyers), V2 rocket launchers which deal more burst damage than Artillery, and Mammoth tanks that the Allies have no real equivalent of.

Generally Soviets rely on a more formation-based playstyle while Allies mostly have defensively powerful units and need either critical mass or the Enforcer to push through.

Tesla Coils have more range than Tank Destroyers. Maybe Tank Destroyers can outrange them from some specific angles due to firing offset though.

Aircraft cannot spot subs, but in Chainbreaker the Allies have Sensor Arrays that are able to detect subs.

It sounds like your issue is not particularly faction-related, but Chainbreaker is just a relatively tough mission.
