tunnel logic works as a special terrain type which then the tunnel code (which you generate with the tunnel drawer program and put into the map via map ini editing) links to and allows
units to travel through. while it is possible to make a terrain piece that goes in the water (or ini hack an unused overlay to be terrain=tunnel and place it over the enterances), a kink in
the code makes it so that only land units can travel over the tunnel terrain type itself causing ships to not be able to enter the tunnel while hover and amphibious units work fine.
as for the corner piece there, i dont believe there ever were any cliffs at that angle in vanilla meaning that you would have to make a new tileset in the tile editor and code it in. while
