No trigger, teamtypes, scripts, etc. options when moved to the laptop [SOLVED]
Subject description: Thank you E1 Elite... for bearing with me...
I moved the FinalAlert2 folder to my new laptop. But when I did, I lost the options for triggers, etc. This could possibly be because I am in beginner mode but the is no option to untick this. This wasn't a problem back in my desktop even when I reinstalled Windows but there are problems now that I moved it in my laptop. The option for unticking beginner mode was never a problem to begin with in the desktop since it should automatically go to advance mode anyways.
Also, I updated the Final Alert 2 to the latest: https://github.com/secsome/FA2sp. It works in my computer but as you can see in the image it reverted back to the old flashy texture as well as being slow to move around when scrolling through the map.
FA2sp.dll is not present in FA2 folder or is not getting loaded. If your anti-virus is doing it then allow/set exception for syringe.exe, FA2sp.dll to run. QUICK_EDIT
FA2sp.dll is present since I downloaded it again and put it on the folder. I tried to allow syringe.exe but I can't see the FA2sp.dll in the firewall, but is is in the folder. Then I turned off the firewall and restarted my computer and still nothing happened.
Also, if you look at the attachment, at the bottom, the minimap shows a yellow base. That is suppose to be purple like the one in my desktop:
If you have only C: drive, then create a folder like C:\Software\ and unzip the patched FA2 in that folder. Then right click on FA2SPLaunch.exe, click on Properties, Compatibility and Tick run as Admin.
Patched FA2 is portable, you can run it from flash drive also. QUICK_EDIT
I've tested a lot and in my testing I found out that FinalAlert2YR.dat is causing the option of going to beginner mode. This is from my original Final Alert 2. Maybe it doesn't work because I move it to another computer. But here is the file if anyone could test it if it causes problem in your computer:
If syringe.exe and FA2sp.dll are present in the FA2 folder then something is preventing those from running.
That FinalAlert2YR.dat is from Patched FA2 and it is fine. Going to beginner mode is because of 2 mistakes.
1. FA2sp is not getting loaded. FA2sp completely skips the beginners mode.
2. FinalAlert.ini in Patched FA2 does not have EasyView key and the patched executable skips that dialog option on first run.
Somehow you had EasyView=1 in it, maybe from original FA2 (not from patched FA2 package). Now that is resolved.
Your problem is FA2sp.dll is not getting loaded by syringe. QUICK_EDIT
That is the patched one where I moved to C: and it has admin permission already. For comparison, this is the log for a Final Alert 2 without permission:
I was searching for why .dll files weren't working when move one computer to another. It gave me a result that says something about visual code redist. I remembered having to do this when installing Mental Omega on a computer with window 7 OS (the computer wasn't mine). But I did install the visual code redist when you told me about FindDLLs: Recognized DLLs. It gave me the idea to search for why dll files aren't working. But what I installed before was the x64. Now that you told me about x86, I was just like "ah dammit". But yeah, that was the issue. Did not think this was going to be solved and I was feeling like giving up. But thank you E1 Elite. You solve it again! Here it is the working:
Almost Gave Up and Accepted that it will never work with my laptop.png
