Horror stories
Since Halloween season is approaching, I would like to share some short horror stories with you. I have collected tons of them, in my language to speak with friends during Halloween. And most of them are heard directly from the public, when I visited local places around.
Please, write your own what you know or heard, or found on internet. Once I got time soon, I will post more.
Woman in white wedding dress
Several friends from the party were returning late at night, and they were passing by the highway near some forest. And they stopped to take a short break, for someone to go to the toilet, for someone to smoke a cigar ... Suddenly, not far from the car, they saw a woman approaching, dressed in a white wedding dress. She carried a wreath, like at a funeral. They got scared, got in the car, and drove fast. As soon as they set off, a wreath just passed over them, hitched their car and bounced off the road. Frightened, they returned home.
Brothers divided
One house has been shared by two brothers. They start arguing, they were divided and could not stand each other. From time to time they accuse each other of entering rooms and breaking stuff (windows, various objects, hitting walls...). And both brothers could not catch each other, because both were sneaky. They could hear just footsteps. Then once, some of their neighbors called medium because something was suspicious. Once that man came, he told them that ghost has been haunting that house! There were girl murdered long time ago, and buried on that ground where house has been build later! And before start building house, owners did not know about it. Now, ghost of that girl is disturbing brothers, and they believed all time that one is doing things to another! After finding that out, they called priest to ,,clean" house from ghost. And after that, ghost was silenced.
A monster in the attic
In a house in the village, a man lived with his family. One evening, something started to be heard on the floor above, in the attic. Something is shouting, yelling, making a dangerous noise. And it called that man by name. The man got scared, took a rifle and shot at the place where the noise was coming from. He waited for dawn to check what it was. When he went upstairs in the morning to see what it was about, at the place where he shot, he found a large piece of something slimy, like gelatin.
Wedding guests
In those old days, a man returned to his village at night. As he approaches, something like a wedding is heard more and more. People dance, play, wedding guests, everything is beautiful, everyone is happy, they eat, drink. They offer him too, and he joined the wedding dance. Later, they give him to drink rakija (brandy) from a glass. He also took it to drink, but before he made a toast, he crossed himself according to the Serbian custom, and as he crossed himself, everything suddenly became clear. The devils took him to the top of the tree, and instead of a glass of brandy, he held a horn, and there was blood inside instead of drink. If he hadn't crossed himself, he would most likely have drunk it, fainted, and fallen from a tree to die. It looks like a ritual of sacrifice, a classic "enchantment" with a purpose!
A hut in the woods
One man was returning from the forest after a long walk, but the rain caught up with him and he sought some shelter. He saw a hut in the forest that he had never seen there, but still decided to take shelter from the rain. He noticed a bed in the hut, and since it was already getting dark, he decided to sleep there. When he went to bed he noticed a big picture on the wall with some creepy faces of people, but he didn't care about that so he just turned to the other side and fell asleep. When he woke up in the morning he turned around again to see the picture a little better but realized it was just a window.
