I find people like this annoying. Can't even do something as simple as making art code for a unit, so instead of studying the entries or looking around for a tutorial, they opt to being spoonfed the code, expecting an answer from a thread years gone, with the author most likely having been retired from the community.

This won't necessarily do much in terms of making this place more alive, but it would prevent dead posts from before 2010 or earlier from being revived so freely by just anyone (hell this guy only commented as a guest!)

This is a bad idea. You can never know if someone has actual new, constructive info to add even to the oldest of topics. Instead of having to create a new one, it's better to reply to existing threads (although PPM is severely bloated with near-duplicate threads already).

I'd say just ignore the nuisance.

I gotta agree with Crimsonum about auto-locking long-dead topics.

I also agree with Banshee and Crimsonum on that, because locking old threads can lead to heavy disadvantages, as stated above, for being the first fact that someone maybe wants to add something useful to contribute to a thread. Also, as a second, as already stated, this can lead to creating duplicated threads and unecesserily increasing their numbers.... Also, we should not forget that people may discover some bugs in some assets, and because of locked thread they would be unable to mention that properly.
However, I agree with Nuclei Spitter that such behavior of ,,guests" is annoyng. We are PPM, we are much better than this. 2021 year and we still have people from cave age ,,OMG WTF LOL LULZ ROFLMAO SUXXX CAN I HAVE CODE FOR TANK" in some, especially ancient threads like this. Even today after all those years, I cannot get used to this as well. Professional and epic place like PPM looks like cheap site sometimes because of those people.
I can understand them. They behave like that because they can. But we should at least have such comments deleted. When he posts something like this, the first moderator should delete this immediately, and problem solved. Or disable guest posting. This is just my personal opinion, does not mean that I am right, but I cannot think better solution for now.
