If you've played the original Sole Survivor(which few have.),via,bought,or downloaded offline(Thanks,nyer.) it may have seemed cool,awesome,or just plain crap. it depends. C&C Fans where on the flip/flop with SS. some hate it,some love it. i myself love the concept. 1 man,a Renegade. fighting,and 'Surviving' on his own,fighing off the others,to become the winner. but,the game was orchestrated poorly. very poorly. (I never had access to WOL with Sole Survivor. XWIS better get a SS server up soon). why? they never gave it that Umph,that extra push. the only true way of surviving is by running,and snatching up crates. crates...pff. all of the Sole Survivor maps are poorly done,no hiding points,no places to take cover. ect.  Hell,even tiberium would've been decent,for Chem.Troops to tempt the enemy infantry into crossing the deadly crystal feilds. but no,westwood just made this to keep the fans happy before Tiberian Sun's release.
Me,and my team(Tyler Adams,currently. Nyerguds is my 'Historical Accuracy' man,and ranter about how the TS Tib trees look like evil Yucca Plants/Cacti.) are taking the concept of Sole Survivor. and raising it to a new level. taking the step Westwood Studios did not. Crate-Whoring,is no longer a major tactic(as it is far more risky to pick up crates,as Ion-Cannons,and Nuclear Bombs occur a little more often. among other unpleasent suprises...) Soilders will have to devote to tactics,to stealth,to sneaking around,avoiding a nice spot under a tanktread. Vehicles,the overpowered MONSTERS in sole survivor,will be at risk,too. rember the overpowered Mammoth Tank? with tactics,and detail added to the map(along with danger.),those 'overlords' will nolonger totally dominate the game. Tiberium will infest some maps. Some maps will be suburban sprawls,farms,cows(yes,the RA2 cow is coming over...),others? Giant cities,full of civilians,cars. the Slums,the Sprawls,the glitz. the trash. all ideal hiding spots. that crappy Doghouse may just turn the tide for your Minigunner. running around in the Glitzy parts of town,in your shiny new mammoth tank may not be such a good idea... Blow up large tiberium chunks,and creating new tiberium patches may save your injured visceroid from a group of Flamethrower infantry. it all depends on how you play your stratagy.

umm... actually crate-whoring was the POINT in SS. Without that, there's no way a minigunner can win from a flame tank.

I 'dl'd' it but it didnt work, even in compatibility mode... & it was nyer's.

SS would quite possibly work in dosbox assuming it's not for Windows 95.
