Finishing the tall vertical concrete cliffs
I'm just using photoshop's Skew function to finish up this set.
I'm using the existing image for this (the first on in the pic).. I'm using TI's concrete cliffs as a template, using transparency i can use ti's cliffs as a background layer to line up the angles right, and its working pretty smooth i think so far. They might not be perfect, but as long as it looks decent enough im cool with it. what yall think? (not much progress yet, but just wanted to check if its easy to do, and it is)
cncnet is enjoying the big concrete cliffs with the slope angle, its pretty dope. But i'm basically just doing this so i can make a profile for maptool to convert ra2 maps, cuz convertion doesnt work with those angled cliffs. And then we can play them on cncnet ts, enlarging our massive map database even further lol
Not bad, the horizontal (3rd) piece looks blurry though. Might want to use some sharpen on it. Also, on the 2nd and 4th pieces, I'd make the tall face slightly brighter than the flat pieces to reinforce the perspective. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Im definitly gonna come back to each one and make them better. I just wanted to have each tile existing first so i have a better view on how to fix them.
It actually turned out better then i thought it would, it looks terrible right now, but i'm definitly gonna fix m up lol.
Ima also gonna thicken the line on the back cliffs, add the darker line there too,..
Anyway, just posting progress for tips or comments (im using photoshop)
Also, before i do my own research.. are destroyable cliffs hardcoded? I can make a destroyable cliff for the concrete cliffs?
If no, have anyone tried turning a destroyable cliff into a building placed on top of a slope?
Made a few improvements.. but its just a really slow process.
It really doesn't look good yet, id rather delete this entirely and use
the ones from TI if they allow it, and just change the terrain a little bit, that would really be helpful. QUICK_EDIT
Would love to help, but no idea how; IIRC there still isn't a guide for making TMPs.
I'm not surprised; it's always been a rather niche sector of modding. Even I couldn't tell you much about the various quirks of the XCC editor. There was another tool, long ago, but it isn't being distributed anymore, at the wishes of the author. A pity, really.

some more progress.
still got a bunch more tiles to go, but its getting there.
if anyone wants to help, please. id love all the help i can get
It seems you have inherited the mantle. I still have some old assets, and as it happens, the vertical high paved cliffs are among them. I can't guarantee that they'll work in-game, but upon a cursory inspection they seem fine.
These do have a slightly different texture than the original 1.0 cliffs, and I don't believe I ever bothered to make the diagonal ones, but feel free to make use of what you can.
let me know if i can help with this. i have ample experience creating .tmp files, albeit ra2 ones. heres something that
i made from scratch the other day to show what i mean (ignore the buildings)
