Currently the toolset consists of tools for converting the string tables that C&C, RA and TS used into easy to edit ini files and back again and a set of command line tools for working with mix files, both creation and extraction.

The mix file tools work with the formats games from TD to YR used, TS and later games require you to use the tools with -c argument to set them to use the newer hash method those games use.

The code that handles parsing mix files is based on the same way the original games parse them and as such so called mix "protection" will not prevent these tools from extracting files.

The tools are functional but internally the code is still raw and will be subject to some refinement, especially the mix file code as I intend to create a GUI tool that can handle creation and extraction in the future as well. It isn't intended to replace XCC for viewing contents, but should be a better tool for otherwise manipulating mix files.

Oh, and you'll need to build them yourselves for now from source Twisted Evil

Did you fix the intermittent corruption we discussed before?

Are you referring to ccmix or an older makemix that didn't have a source release? This codebase is completely unrelated to ccmix so won't have the same bugs. If you have a data set that became corrupt then test it in the new tools and if it still happens I can look at fixing it.

Yea CCMIX, the name slipped my mind... I've been using an unfinished mix tool for a year now with great results, so I'm not in real need of another tool.

As I recall when I tried CCMIX, I setup batchfiles to assemble mixes based on contents of matching dirs, so I could drop updated files in there, and then run the relevant .bat to update the mod. I think in all cases for the larger (voxel/building) mixes, I had errors (crash) result, the smaller ones (cameos etc) may have been corrupted but weren't critical for the game.
