2D Art Forum Rules! (Read this before posting!)
Subject description: Important: We only accept finished and downloadable Images or Animations here!!!!
The purpose of the High-Quality 2D Art Forum is to people exchange their textures for any game, animations for any game, concept arts, and even artistic photographs. You post and download images and you can also comment on them. It's simple and good if you wanna improve your artistic skills or need some public place to advertise your graphic skills. However, it needs organization. So, here's the basic:
- One user-created content per topic, please. So, when the visitor opens the forum, he will know exactly the amount of submitted art pieces that we have and how to get it.
- Topic title must include the name of the user-created content. If it is targeted for a specific game, this game must be mentioned between [ ].
- Only include finished 2D Art in a topic. If you wanna help to solve problems with your graphic skills, post your doubts or your unfinished work in Media Hut and ask help there.
- If you are submitting an animation or something that requires multiples images, a screenshot previewing your work is welcomed by those who wanna download it. Make sure you include one or include a very good description with it.
- You are free to update your 2D Art whenever you wish on the same topic of the older one, but please, reply to the original topic saying people that you updated it.
- Do not post requests here!
- Feel free to post comments, but remember that forum rules are applied here. So, no flames, illegal discussion, etc....
I hope it becomes a good resource of textures and any other sort of interesting 2D art and you guys enjoy it. Have fun!
Note that our privacy policy is applied here. Make sure you agree with it before posting your 2D Art. QUICK_EDIT
If yes, would you rather want a new topic with the images linked/uploaded again, or the original topic moved in here?
Should mods/admins move WIP topics that reached a finished image state from Media Hut into this forum?
What's High Qualitiy enough?
Would be for example my Kodiak
big enough for this? Or do you aim more for something like 4k wallpaper sized images?
In other words, are high resolution ingame isometric view images of some rendered vehicle be ok as well?
If you have a high res rendered unit with thousands of frames (move, firing, idle, death etc) you may antagonize PPMs webhoster if there are suddenly several Gigabyte sized zips uploaded.
Would you prefer a certain image type (tga, png, bmp) or forbid certain types like jpg due to the horrible compression?
For further use as ingame assets (like in the Remaster), lossless compression formats would be surely better.
For 4k, 8k wallpapers though, the smaller filesize of jpg's may be preferable.
Right now this forum seems to be a bit like a mixture between a HQ-SHP forum and a photo gallery. In the end it may make it hard to find either of these two different asset types. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings

It can be moved from Media Hut to here with the author's consent. Note that if someone posts something unfinished here, it must be moved back to Media Hut without requiring the author's consent.

Anything that uses 16 bits or higher color is enough to be "high quality", as long as it makes some sense. The resolution doesn't matter at all.

Bitmap is forbidden, unless it is inside a compressed file. JPEG is definitely not recommended, but we can't officially forbid it, although we can request the use of other file formats in order to keep the topic here. QUICK_EDIT
How does the Privacy Policy here work any different than the one in the Media Hut?
Why would moving a topic from Media Hut to here need the authors consent?

It doesn't apply differently at all. When somebody posts a topic on Media Hut, they are not necessarily agreeing with the policy of sharing their finished work here. They are posting work in progress stuff. QUICK_EDIT
Can arts here be related to literally anything? or is it just restricted to Command & Conquer? _________________ If you are a MetalHead (Heavy Metal Fan) and don't want to be a metalhead, Just remove your metal ball from your head. :p .
