This is a very straight foreword question. How do I change map size?

Is it really only change-able through the .ini file?

My initial experimentation (and reading the small bottom toolbar) has me sure the teal outline is the map bounds, which you can set with CTRL+click. That should set the size of the map.

Yes, I see that as well. I was able to set the map "boundary" but what about the map size, what if I would like it to be bigger/smaller then the default? The default is kind of small...

The overall size of maps is hardcoded and can't be changed.

That old 64x64 size is way too small.
Is this size hardcoded in a part that isn't in the public source code?

At the very least its hardcoded in the map editor and I suspect its hardcoded in the engine as well.

Maybe it is possible to stock informations of one map ( buildings of player and ai... ressources...) and make an "entry / leave" path, then u can connect 4 map for example ?

Like i'm entering north and "voila" i'm in the continuity of the map, i'm reentering south and go back to previous map.

Dont know if its possible to code a thing like this ?
