That's an extremely nice voxel. I love the animation.
I wasn't aware that IdleRate works for hva animated voxel as well. Cool use of this logic. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
how do you create multi section voxels without causing overlap problem?
The sections don't have only a part of the unit, but each section has the complete VXL with a different animation step.
In the HVA the sections are then enabled/disabled consecutively using 0% size via the header and 100% size (basically they are shrinked down all the time and only set to normal size in their appropriate frame)
Works unfortunately only in RA2 where the shadow is cached from the first frame and not re-rendered for the other frames. Thus it doesn't flicker or turn off when the section is shrinked down. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings

Would you please elaborate how this is done?
The only place that I know to change a section size is "Tool--Managers--Voxel Bounds", which alters its size in every frame, unfortunately.
How to find the "Header" that you mentioned? QUICK_EDIT
Sadly the trick with the sections + scaling to 0 for animation does not work with OpenRA (or say I did not want to make this hack work by adjusting the c# code).
So I cut this awesome model into 2 sections, the buckets and the chassis and then gave animation frames to the buckets.
By the way, is it possible to change the order of frames with OS HVA Builder? I was only able to copy/add frames behind the frame to be copied, which makes reordering impossible
I'd say this would benefit from some grey parts, it's too golden as it is (even though the animation is really cool, and I would like to see more animated miners) _________________ QUICK_EDIT
