Yes. GDI used to have M2 Light tanks. There are several GDI cutscenes with it.

those huge1 and huge2 screenies aren't beta screens. They look like screenshots from CCMAP 3.
Further proof...
-n00bish errors in the cliff connections in the upper right corner of the temperate pic
-turrets surrounded by walls? Seriously
-heli has no rotors
-gunboat has no wake in the water.
-road connected to the beach. It's not very visible there, but I'm familiar with the C&C tiles and I know there's an error in the connection. The guy that made it messed around to get it as good as possible. WW would've made a new tile if they wanted to do stuff like that.
-the Desert pic shows the WW Studios building. This building was an easter egg that ony appeared in two Nod briefing movies, so I doubt WW would put it on a beta screenshot. This same screenshot has a velociraptor just south of the blossom tree. Two easter eggs in one beta screenshot, or the work of some map maker testing out all special stuff? You tell me
-the size. All beta pics are maximum 320x200, since that was the resolution of DOS C&C.

On the very top of the first picture, what is that red, flying unit in the top right? That can't be part of the rocks.
ummmm....that's a Nod Turret. And that crashed plane is what became the "crashed alien UFO" in TD (but it's just a plane with a big cockpit and a small engine) QUICK_EDIT

Uhh.. that crashed plane has nothing to do with the infamous "UFO" in TD. The UFO was only 1 cell big, while this is 2x4, and its gfx are nowhere in the final version.
And the manual says
"Special thinks to Sean Brennan for the spaceship"

Wait, after seeing it on another monitor I can see that it's a downed aircraft and a gun turret. On the other monitor, it looked like loads of rocks all merged together, with a flying red blob (the gun turret) flying across. _________________
