Upcoming Command & Conquer: Tiberium.
Subject description: Invasion of another non-moddable C&C game confirmed!
Apparently, according to news posted in severalmedia sources, Electronic Arts is working on a new Command & Conquer game named Tiberium, according to the leaks from EA Play 2016. There isn't any information about this game, although some of you may remind an old FPS game named Tiberium that was being developed 6 years ago and it eventually vanished after EA has lost millions of dollars with it. Anyway, here's what one of the linked sources above says about the upcoming Tiberium:

I think we can all agree on one thing, and that's that the C&C franchise died years ago and they're just poking at a corpse.
C&C also became so popular because it was 'easily' moddable.
Having a closed game, which they 100% are going to do considering their business model, will make it less popular and die sooner.
If EA is going to come forth with a moddable CnC title, I'll eat my shoe! _________________

now...regardless of if this is true or fools. I wouldn't mind a well done C&C themed FPS. But well done is the key and something we'll likely not get.
but i'll agree whatever is to come needs to involve the communities more and be able to be modded or at the VERY least have it so people can make fan maps for it and use them openly. _________________ Kalistia Crestland (2)

There are so many efforts to move to mixed-genre games, like Halo that pushed the fps genre by being able to jump in and out of vehicles while using gunners and drivers cooperatively. Even say GTA where they added swimming and piloting aircraft as part of the seamless genre transitions from just running around.
Star Citizen looks like it will be just that much more mixed-genre with turn-based game elements, free range exploration, and even fps elements with zero-gravity.

Why use the C&C logo from the Generals era? They have since changed it twice, including the one they use now.
Wouldn't it make sense? They would just be using the logo they were going to use while making Tiberium the first time, which was shortly before C&C3.
