mixed up axis
The mixed up (imo wrong) axis of x,y and z aren't only confusing when you are used with z being height, not y like in VSE. They are also internally mixed up.
While in the main viewport you have
X left/right width
Y top/bottom height
Z front/back length
You have following issues
Problem 1)
Editing View: Left
view is from Left to Right
this is correct, but
Editing View: Top
the view is from Bottom to Top
this is vice versa and should be from Top to Bottom to follow the other views direction pattern.
Problem 2)
When you create a new Section, the Y and Z Axis are mixed up
Create a X40 Y2 Z40 Section and you get a Section that is 40voxel high on Y and only 2 voxel long on Z
Personally i would also love to see a settings option which allows to switch the axis to the other for me more logical layout with,
x,y being ground plane and z defining the 3rd dimension "height"
\Edit
Problem 2 is even more messed up with all 3 axis being wrong
a new X10,Y20,Z30 Section is created
as X30,Y10,Z20 Section
Since the tabstop order is indicating the correct axis
1. Z is selected (which is X)
2. X is selected (which is Y)
3. Y is selected (which is Z)
i assume the input textboxes are just not placed correct behind the right label. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
