Since our previous promotional screenshot topics appear to be a bit outdated, I decided to create a new one.

Here I'm showing you previews of two new single player missions coming with the next update for DTA 1.12, Eradicating the Red and Reunification.

Looks like a real holiday paradise, doesn't it? Warm weather, all that water to swim in, beautiful trees, cliffs to take nice photos from...

Oh and hidden crates from which you can grab cash, and barrels that explode beutifully when they're blown up Smile

Looks nice.
Though in the past, when i made lights reach onto water, people did not like it.

Is it just me, or do the units look rather dark for such a bright map? Is this a darker red than the usual one?

I've also traditionally avoided putting lightposts on water in DTA, but I think it's fitting for this map.

The units being dark compared to the terrain is a result of heavy lightpost usage. While it's noticeable, I don't think it looks that bad.

The mission is in the latest dev build, comments about it are appreciated on the staff forum.

I'm creating a tutorial campaign for DTA. While nearly all of our fans are more or less experienced C&C players, we've noticed that when we do get someone interested in DTA who hasn't played classic C&C before, they have a hard time picking up the game because there's no tutorial and the multiplayer AI and existing missions are rather difficult.

Our existing players will also get something new to enjoy however. The terrain detail of this map turned out to be quite nice, so while I made it with a tutorial mission in mind, I think I'll adapt the map a bit and also make a new "proper" SP mission for it.

The second (and last) tutorial mission. This one focuses on base-building.

The gems need the snow version.
Otherwise looks nice.

Any chance of getting reinforcements like in RA1, where they came out of the war factory like normal build units? Looks like this could be one mission were this would fit quite well.
E.g. you can't build an MCV and get one as reinforcements from your war factory (provided you keep it alive long enough) after a timer runs out.

The ends of the wall next to the cliffs should get the TD/RA1 typical 2x2 end.

Right now it looks like infantry or small units could fit through.
Usually the walls also have these 2x2 parts at corners in the classic maps.

Good catch. Fixed.

That sounds like an interesting idea for another mission, but it wouldn't fit here.

Applied. Smile
