Gamespy going down...

Didn't find this posted but this affects so many games I have no idea to full extent...

Gamespy announced their closure already a year ago. I guess they just kept the service running under the same name until now?

GameSpy had two companies: GameSpy Industries, which was closed last year, and GameSpy Technologies, which was bought by Glu from IGN in 2012 and which held all those servers.

That was their "journalistic" arm or rather a IGN subsite. The actual Gamespy servers "Gamespy Technologies" was bought by a company called Glu Mobile who are shutting down the Gamespy master servers.
