While the issue of Soviet tanks needing repairs has since been eased up with the introduction of Repair Rigs, another logistics problem regarding them has caught the attention of commanders: Soviet tanks are built to be durable and carry immense firepower, making speed something they're lacking in. This becomes a serious problem when the inability to reach the combat zone quickly can easily turn the tide of battle into the enemy's favour. A rather radical solution was thought up to counter this. In keeping to preserve the Soviet's focus on superior armour and firepower, rather than building lighter but weaker tanks, they developed the Mobile Factory. Its exactly what it says on the tin: a mobile War Factory that is driven and deployed closer to the frontlines, enabling commanders to deploy tanks right at the enemy's doorstep. The issue with tanks being too slow becomes irrelevant when even the slowest tanks are within an arm's reach from the enemy. Like the MCVs they're based on, Mobile Factories can pack up for relocation. It should be noted that they're not to be treated as expansions as other buildings cannot be built near it. While capable of withstanding a lot of damage, they're still unarmed but can use their immense weight to crush lesser vehicles in more desperate cases. They're also unable to build vehicles alone, requiring an existing vehicle production facility to be able to do so.
