The Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) has always been the Allied navy's means of transporting ground troops over vast stretches of water. It has been a vital piece of equipment that has undergone little to no modification. In the wake of the Imperial naval assaults, the LCAC's hull armour has seen vast improvements. It will still succumb to heavy fire though. The fact that LCACs are unarmed means that protecting them is very important. They are however equipped with a unique device known as the EM Nullifier, an experimental countermeasure designed to negate EMP effects which threaten to immobilize it's parent vehicle and potentially sinking it should it be above deep water. The Wing of Freedom is a heavy user of such disruptive tactics.
