The Aegis-class cruiser is truly the protector of the Allied fleet. It is the Allies' premier anti-air vessel which has proven itself during GWW2 to be a crucial piece of defence against the nigh invulnerable Kirov Airships used by the Soviets. The secret to it's efficiency with anti-air duties lies in it's deadly weapon: the "Medusa" Rapid Launcher Array. This weapon system can rapidly launch Medusa SAMs upon enemy aircrafts, quickly shooting them down in a blink of an eye. If ordered to, the weapon can be fired at an even faster rate. Recently, a new weapon has been installed on the cruisers to counter ballistic missiles. The new "Bodyguard" Close-In Weapon System was made in response to the Soviets allegedly using their Cyclone SRBMs as makeshift anti-ship weapons; a lone Dreadnought successfully sank two Destroyers and crippled an Aircraft Carrier which were docked at Pearl Harbour.
