Tiberium Essence on Mac OS X?

Can Tiberium Essence, or any other mods, be installed and played on the Mac OS X version of Tiberium Wars?

I have this game solely for the purpose of playing mods such as TE that bring back the atmosphere of Tiberian Sun. On the Mac version, the game launcher opens with the following buttons: "play", "check for updates", "readme", "visit website", "tech support", and "quit". There is no game browser. I am able to put the TE folder and files in the C&C application's folder using "show package contents". At this point I'm not even sure if mods can be played on the Mac version of TW.

I am not 100% sure if this works on a Mac as well, but for Windows you can edit the shortcut and add -modConfig "C:\Users\yourprofilename\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Mods\TiberiumEssence\TiberiumEssence_1.51.skudef" to the Target and it will run the mod automaticly.
