Diablo 2

I just started playing Diablo 2 again, was wondering if there are any PPM players around? I'm playing with Lord of Destruction expansion, no mods. Running version 1.12.

hehe, i remember playing that ages ago like mad, but found it boring after a while when the character wasn't leveling up even after slaughtering millions of monsters.

Thus i modded it and gave undead millions of experience points to get me on lvl99 with one kill. My custom sword also helped, since it had 100-1000 Damage and 100-1000 Lighting/Fire/Ice and Poison damage with +9 to all abilities. Twisted Evil

Started playing it several months ago (my first Hack-and-Slash RPG) with a friend, but never went further then the Temple part of the Desert stage (just before boss battle).

I was looking for a few players who'd like to get together and quest some. I don't know about who all that has bought it, but it tends to be really fun in groups and I was hoping to find some people who'd be interested in playing. I haven't started a mod yet due to the desire to enjoy the original game for what it is.

I do have a Battle.net legit copy, and can play on the LAN/Open Battle.net as well. I started a Barbarian this morning, and using /players 8 I'm at like lvl 11 or 12 after just a few hours of playing.

I hate that game.

I mean, it's so dull. In SP, it's a fragfest, in MP.... it's crap. I hate when "if you have a new idea, a new skillbuild, you are a noob".... and all WoW/Dio2 players think that crap. It's so pathetic that it makes me cry. Elitist idiots.

Inb4 you say why amn't I try it.... I did kthx. Around 2009-2010. I strongly doubt anything changed since. And I can't bear seeing those hammersummoner paladins, neither. And I never seen another pala-build.

So yeah, Dungeon Siege 1 beats Dio2 hands down. At least back in the DS lobby, they were open for new ideas.

I agree. Diablo was amazing for it's time but now it just feels so broken. The upgrade system, the way you use abilities, skill trees, etc. It's still fun though, if you don't mind those broken game mechanics. Another good Diablo clone I played was Titan Quest/Immortal Throne. It was fun and had a different era to play in (roman time period) which was cool. But who needs this s*** now that we have D3!

Yeah I beat the game with almost every character class, I used to PVP with a lot of very odd ball classes too!

I used to kick ass with my Bear Sorceress, and Wolf Barbarian!!!

Guess none of you cool cats played modded Diablo 2 eh? I personally am playing (and loving) the newest version of Median XL.

I did play D II mods. My last one was named Raign of Shadow. Besides having potatoes, it was a pretty fun mod

Well, I did. And yeah, if Dio2 then Median... it renamed itself to Median 2012 didn't it? But while it's awesome, it was based upon a bad game, and even it made that bad game onto an average level. It's still a mindless hack'n'slash. And I have UT2004 for that. #Tongue
