The Haelstrom Energy Core is deployed by Haelstrom Energy corporation (of course) and is much more efficient (and expensive) than it's Terra Firma manufactured counterpart. This can be purchased after your base is well established in late-game scenarios, unless you choose your support company to be Haelstrom Energy, in which case you get the core right off the bat and it is considerably cheaper.
