Tiberium Uprising (New GDI Campaign)
Yes a vanilla TS campaign for the first time in a while.
My first mission had gotten feedback and I figured I'd post the whole thing now. The storyline is pretty tiberium overrunning the world with a few side stories as well as Nod using it against you worse than in vanilla. The Mutants become your allies later and the last two missions will be epic!
You've probably heard about the first mission which is here and up for download. Still taking suggestions for it.
In the topic you can also see that I said the second mission would interest C&C veterans. So I think this screenshot and briefing are all you need.
******** GDI Mission 2 - Tables Turned ********
While we worried about the tiberium catastrophe, Nod went and pinned down a base of our's in a snowy valley. We can't allow this base to fall. This base is without funds and we have no harvesters available to send in. To make matters worse Nod has planned a large assault and we have the ETA. Use your tactical mind to find your way out of this.
Objective One: Find a way to get money and build up a force to defend from the big assault.
Objective Two: Destroy Nod forces.
Fitting name. And old mission with multiple twists.

im going to assume there is no tiberium on that map becasue you could just pawn off your buildings for extra cash to buy a refinery _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0
No there is tiberium up the cliffs. Only one cliff is worth attacking with your starting forces and that one has tiberium....fine the tactic is to sell the right buildings in order to gain 1400 for a harvester. It done right you'll end up with 1475 when you get enough. _________________ Tiberium Uprising (a few missions for TS): http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31029 QUICK_EDIT
I haven't released the second one. The first mission will be updated in four hours and much better than the present version.
Expect the first release of the second one later too plus some screenshots of the third mission. _________________ Tiberium Uprising (a few missions for TS): http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31029 QUICK_EDIT
Well IMO in that last screenshot the ambient lighting is far too low which makes the buildings look black, the yellow lighting is nice besides that. Oh and "tactical command skills" would make more sense than "tactical commanding skills". QUICK_EDIT
Here's the second mission. It's still WIP since it just needs a little more detailing but other than that it's finished for you guys. I will not release anymore missions in order for you guys to stay excited.
On easy, it's almost a cakewalk once you get money. I haven't tried it on medium but on Hard, since AI Triggers are activated, I actually get beaten by Tick Tanks and everything buildable up to Tech 3 for Nod before I even get the money so on Hard it's recommended to play on a slower game speed...so I can't imagine what the big assault is like on Hard as I can't get that far.
EDIT: Thanksgiving update to the second mission. Pretty much just has more details and a few more secrets.

And we're back...well I'll give you some previews of the alternative third GDI mission (replaces 3B which was Capture Train Station which doing so made 3A easier which was Secure Crash Site). This mission is called "Destroy Cyborg Prototype Facility" and 3A is called "Destroy Cyborg Facility" (which includes the base from Destroy Cyborg Prototype Facility plus larger ones).
And yes, unlike the first two missions, this one hasn't gotten into its detailing stage yet.
Oh and there's a problem. When you break into the prototype center (within the base), an army of prototype cyborgs come after you. I'm trying to put in an EMP. I made it charge at a very fast speed, added an EMP Cannon "off" the map, and made it change to GDI ownership once the Cyborgs come at you. But the EMP won't fire (and it doesn't have to do with me placing it not close enough because for one it is and two it won't fire anywhere on the map.

The last post showed undetailed screenshots of Mission 3B. This would be Mission 3A, which extends the view of 3B and you start much further South while having to face a larger base in the end.
Also, there is a preview of Mission 4 which has been done for quite some time now. It's another countdown mission, 5 periods of 10:00 go down and you must face off waves of Nod forces trying to destroy the airbase...read these briefings so I don't have to explain it all
Missions so far
1. Tiberium Uprising
|
Welcome back commander! Tiberium has overran many places but before we can deal with that, Nod should be taken care of. The last fight in the First Tiberium War left us with victory but also many injured soldiers. Many are back in health but only a few are ready to fight for us. Nod has recovered from the war as well. Anyhow there is a base of our's in this sector that is overran with Tiberium and mysterious lifeforms we haven't seen before. Nod has taken notice and built a base nearby too. Find our base then wipe Nod out of this sector. We had sent in a patrol earlier and they should still be around so they'll help you if you find them. Good luck.
2. Tables Turned
|
While we worried about the tiberium catastrophe, Nod went and pinned down a base of our's in a snowy valley. We can't allow this base to fall. This base is without funds and we have no harvesters available to send in. To make matters worse Nod has planned a large assault and we have an idea of when they might arrive. Use your tactical mind to find your way out of this.
Objective One: Find a way to get money and build up a force to defend from the big assault.
Objective Two: Destroy Nod forces.
3. - The Cyborg Missions
3A. Destroy Cyborg Facility
|
While in the snowy valley, Nod had a few Cyborgs in the area. They seemed to have some technical difficulties and must've been some kind of prototypes. We have traced the location of two cyborg facilities over to here. Your mission is simple. Destroy the facilities at all costs!
Objective One: Locate and destroy the Cyborg facilities.
3B. Destroy Cyborg Prototype Facility
|
The cyborgs were traced back to a larger sector but our mission should easier if you destroy the smaller prototype facility here. We have an EMP ready to send in if you come across a large group. There are also some mutants around that may help us.
Objective One: Destroy the cyborg facility and all cyborgs.

I dug this screenshot out and decided to post it, as I've decided I'll continue my campaign when I have a lot of spare time.

Mission 4: Defend The Airbase
In order to have an advantage over Nod, we have constructed these new prototype Orca Fighters that supersede our old Orcas. Unfortunately, Nod has discovered our testing zone for these fighters. You must defend from Nod forces that will attempt to destroy the airbase. You may use the fighters to your advantage
Pretty much, you lose if any helipads/orcas are destroyed.

This mission is almost finished aside from extra detailing. Any feedback?

One of the waves attacking. Building up forces and sending them outside each gate of your base helps.
I recommend to you to just put all of them so people has chance to test and hopefully will give some comments, opinion, or suggestions. May be some people like to spare 'some bits' of their time to enhance or improve those 'not detailed' maps...
I myself right now begin to train my skill to create map for skirmish and solo mission.. muah ha..ha..
This is one 'trick' to keep people attracted to keep play the 'OLD GAME' (but still very interesting) .. ..and to make modding community always has something new to explore. I mean give them new ammo, something like that.. QUICK_EDIT
I lost them after getting a new computer on Christmas, so I don't have them anywhere. I was actually on the 5th mission. If I have the time, I could download these and continue with the campaign from there. _________________ Tiberium Uprising (a few missions for TS): http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31029 QUICK_EDIT
