These Forgotten specialists have been trained to pilot many enemy vehicles, and even if they aren't familiar with a particular vehicle, they are very quick learners. Hijackers are trained to move quickly to reach their target vehicle alive. Care needs to be taken since hijackers are unarmed and wear no armor, so they are completely defenceless even against light opposition. Once close enough, they use their wits and variety of tools, including tactical explosive charges, cutters and sharp pointy sticks to gain entry into the vehicle and dispose of the crew. Once they are in, the enemy vehicle is brought under Forgotten control. The hijacker will remain in the captured vehicle until it's destroyed. Once destroyed, there is a chance the hijacker survived the explosion and is ready to capture another vehicle.
