The series 4 buggy was actually produced by MMI, it was originally designed as light combat vehicle for the Z.O.I.D. forces. But they had no interest in it. the management decided to sell the vehicle to third parties, without the knowledge of the colonial government or the Z.O.I.D. command. Of course the brotherhood, which has lost almost all its production facilities as well, used this possibility to buy carefully as much buggies as possible. Everything was handled over middlemen.
The brotherhood reverse engineered the vehicle, copied the chassis, the drivetrain and fitted their own weapon systems and electronics inside.
After a while they where complete capable of building their own buggies.
The modern Nod buggy has still the original chassis and the special suspension MMI is known for. But the engine and inside is something completely different, the vehicle is fueled with tiberium but not in the way as Z.O.I.D. units. The interior has no steering wheel or pedals, the driver will be connected to the vehicle in some way.

The Web Spider (sometimes also called Web widow), is a heavy 'area denial' unit developed by the Brotherhood of Nod. There is no time in the mobile and aggressive fighting style of the brotherhood for the construction of heavy concrete walls. Those walls must also be abandoned, every time Nod changes its position. The Web Spiders can always come along with the troops and establish an effective laser-perimeter if needed. Once, two Web Spiders are deployed and linked together, a cloaking field will be enabled, which hides the Web and the Spider itself. The unit also has a web launcher that can be used to bind infantry. Web Spiders are walking energy reactors, literally. You should not mess around with them!
