I actually EDITED a map that I DL'd. I won't release it, nothing.

I threw it into the Generals Zero Hour directory, played the map, and it's slow as hell!

Suggestions?

how are the stock maps playing? Normal? Check to see if it's the map or the game itself. Then I guess use scientific method to discover what aspect of the map causes it to be slow (save a backup, then delete all the triggers/scripts, test it, then try deleting all the objects).

Yeah, every other maps works fine and runs smoothly. It's the map itself. I have no problems running or playing the game.

BTW, this is my first time modding Generals at all.

Not many. I don't think it even passes 200, if not even 150.

I really want to. It was actually a map I downloaded off the internet, so I blame that. #Tongue

Can anyone upload a clean Twilight Flame map? I don't have any modding tools on this computer, that's all on my old computer and Generals won't work on that one.

Any help is appreciated.

if u want the maps that come with the game download bigpop file extractor. Run the program, find your generals directory and using bigpop open the file maps.big (cant remember if its zhmaps.big). you'll see a list of folders with map names. in the extractor open your desired map folder and extract the XXXX.map file. How big is your map? If its too huge it will be laggy or if there are many scripts running.
