Cameos

I did some work again today (apart from some animations)... hey, I'm on a roll here.
Gufu once commented on how bad the placeholder cameos looked. I couldn't agree more Very Happy

So here are some custom cameos that I drew in Photoshop. due to color limitations, many colors have been omitted, and that creased effect was lessened. let me know what you think!

notes:

I wanted the cameos to feel like they're drawn and inked.... just like the fallout pipboy (thanks to Gufu for this suggestion). I drew the T-51b power armor on the template to signify a BOS Templar, and the kind of Templar it is, is denoted on the upper left hand corner by an icon of the following:

Symbol > Paladin type:

Hammer > Templar (supersledge weapon)
Ammo > Assault (minigun weapon)
Rocket > Support (M47 Dragon AT weapon)
Plasma Orb > Crusader (plasma weapon)

Nice, I like the sketch book look. :3 although its a little hard to distinguish the difference if your going to use only a small icon, being that cameos are so low-res and the icon itself being a fraction of the image.. =/

Have to agree with Ickus on this one. I'm not too fond of the sketch-like cameo style myself, but it makes a nice change.

You should make it more like the Pip-boy stuff in that there's all those crazy poses(like how he always looked different for the traits, perks, etc.), but obviously not the pip-boy for them paladins.

yes, Gufu suggested that last year. and that's what I'm planning to do.

check out my version of Pipboy. I made a template where I can draw all sorts of costumes to suit whatever infantry it might be. It's really hard to draw something very small. If only cameos can handle larger pictures I can draw a fancier and more pipboy-ish pipboy.

Something about the Floaters... Although not related to the subject, i suggest you change thr brownish skin colour to skin color, just like the game's. Anyway, I have seen my brothers played Fallout 1,2 and 3 and i always support Fallout. Keep on going!

Thanks for your interest, but this is the wrong thread for what you're talking about. Colour differences are because of the Tiberian Sun palette.

Oh, and have you made any other cameos yet, IVI?

@ Overseer, The problem with TS palette is that there isn't a proper skin color. It's either pink or brown for human skin tones. And a pink floater doesn't really come off as proper to me Idea

back on topic:
the newer cameos are supposed to be surprises but I can post them when I get home later today. Smile
