I read this on Slashdot, there's about 80,000 signatures now with myself as one of them. I've never seen a Uwe Boll film but based on what the rest of the world alone has said I'll assume they're crap. _________________

He is officially the worst director on this piece of rock... If you want to have (good) movies of games, look at the Doom movie (which wasn't that good either, but it was atleast better and a good horror/action movie ) QUICK_EDIT
I've already finished Doom 3 and Resurrection of Evil. They wasn't so bad after all. However RoF's plot was a bit cheesy, but new enemies and new weapons were very nasty.
Dunno why we changed to topic, maybe because of cheesyness and stuff. QUICK_EDIT

Final off-topic: Just finished the game. That Cyberdemon is easy as hell! (quite litteraly )
On-topic: I just signed it... One more Uwe Boll hater comming up! QUICK_EDIT
Its not like the game licenses he touches are popular anyway.
Well, maybe one.
Plus, if he wasn't around, we wouldn't have such masterpieces like this one. (WARNING: Contains scenes of extreme hilarity, with random slo-mo and game footage!) _________________ QUICK_EDIT

No, Boll didn't have his hands on Doom.
But comparing Doom to BloodRayne 1, 2, 3 (!) and Alone in the Dark, and House of the Dead is like comparing dirty apples to rotting compost.
Also the director of Doom will be directing something much better. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
I love how the guy acts so high and mighty. I read an article that said he said that he "has produced some of the BEST movies in the last 10 years" and that Michael Bay and Eli Roth were "****ing retards".
Best? More like crap. Bay may not have the BEST reputation as a movie director, but they were WAY better then anything Boll has produced. And Eli Roth (IMO at least) has only produced ONE bad movie that are worse then Boll's and that was Cabin Fever. I LOVED Hostel and Hostel II.
About the Doom movie... I agree. It was good, not excellent, but not crap either. It was refreshing to see a video game movie was wasn't SUCK in a can. (...Tomb Raider anyone? >_>) QUICK_EDIT

Tomb Raider was pretty much mirroring the series at the time-- ridiculous plots starring a character with larger than life assets and daddy issues.
For a "SUCK in a can" game movie, I'd suggest Double Dragon or DOA: Dead or Alive.

how is it even remotely similar to ANY doom? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT
A group of marines, after receiving a distress signal, are sent to an interplanetary lab owned by a corporation. There, the marines are faced with inhuman creatures and the hero must confront his fellow marines who have become monsters.
In the end, the source of the creatures is stopped and the hero returns to Earth.
Yes, no satanic demons from another dimension-- blame Hollywood. Not Doom-ish enough, Chielscape? _________________ QUICK_EDIT
