Tutorial Vault Rules :: Read This Before Posting
Subject description: Do not post questions or requests as new topics.
Hello everyone!
Tutorials Vault is a place where the community shares their modding knowledge by posting tutorials. In order to everything run smoothly and in a pleasant way, we have some rules that must be followed. Read them carefully before posting a new topic or replying to an existing one.
1) New Topics must be tutorials only. Anything that is not a tutorial will either be moved to Red Alert 2 Editing Forum or Crap Forum, without warning.
2) Requests for tutorials should be done only in the stickied topic called Tutorial Requests. Do not post them anywhere else, in order to keep the forum organized.
3) All tutorials posted here must have the authorization from its creator. Do not copy tutorials from other places without the permission from the person who wrote it. This is considered a crime here and the offender can be punished with a suspensions or a life-time ban.
4) The title of any tutorial posted here must be able to sum the purpose of the tutorials to the readers. The presence of stars (from 1 to 5) representing the difficulty level is optional, but recommended.
5) This forum follows the global rules of the PPM forums, which means that flames, warez, adult, pornographic material and any illegal content to the US laws are not tolerated, spam and offtopicness might be eliminated or crapped with no warning.
6) Don't post complete object code without explaining what flags are necessary and what they do. The main objective of these tutorials is to allow people to understand what is being done and how these flags work.
In short, the rules are simple. Respect them and you'll be certainly be respected here and have a nice staying here. Enjoy the forum! Last edited by Banshee on Mon Nov 06, 2017 2:20 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
Hmm, a slight question. Aren't torrents legal in the USA? Because then I could post some tutorials on how to find cheap (read: free) C&C games. QUICK_EDIT
I propose a new rule (in fact, I don't know why it wasn't here before, it certainly qualifies).
Don't post complete object code without explaining what flags are necessary and what they do. Anyone posting full code for simple "copy and paste this hurr im a durr" without explaining it will be subject to verbal abuse. QUICK_EDIT

It took me 9 years to pay attention to this new proposed rule from DCoder. And while I agree that people shouldn't post the whole object code without explaining what flags are necessary, I completely disagree at the verbal abuse. Verbal abuse contradicts the rule #5 (no flames will be tolerated). So, yea, I've edited the 6th rule above today. QUICK_EDIT
