I don't know, but it's kinda weird, ads in games. Not that I watch games in ads or stuff like that, but the idea is kinda uncreative since old ads appear in a futuristic universe. Also EA might show it's hunger for money in a better way, or maybe they're experiencing problems with their budget (God I hope so).

Well people, I dont really think you are all that justified in all this EA bashing, you like to blow everything completely out of proportion.
The 'spyware' in Battlefield 2142 consists of some code which logs IN GAME only each time you view an IN GAME advert and from where on the map you do so, THATS ALL. Its completely non-invasive, and they ahve been entirely open about its existence.
As far as the adverts go, I havent even noticed a SINGLE on, and I have had the game for weeks.
So they cant be all that invasive on the gaming experience can they?
A-part from that, Battlefield 2142 is the best game I have played in years, no question.
