Half-Life: Uplink

Half-Life: Uplink is a demo that was released exlusivly for those who bought the Game of the year edition of Half-Life. I figured that I could upload it here for all of you who haven't got the GOTY version of Half-Life.

If you have Half-Life HD pack on a non steam product then heres instructions on how to install the HD Pack on Uplink

Firstly, find the .pak file pak1.pak, it should be here
C:\Sierra\Half-Life\valve\pak1.pak

Now copy that file

Open this folder
C:\Sierra\Half-LifeUplink\valve

and paste the pak1.pak there

Now your done

Uplink was the first HL demo, it wasn't exclusive to people who bought the GOTY edition.

It was released after the release of half-life... and from what i read it was only for those with the GOTY edition.

HL: Day One was the offical HL demo; roughly 1/5th of the game.

HL: Uplink is a couple chapters that would have fit into the Lambda Complex section of the game, but the released version is heavily revised for standaloneness.

The Uplink Addon for HL adds the Uplink chapters into the Lambda Complex section.

Not true, uplink won't be added into the lambda section of the game but you will be able to play it like a demo. That is unless you have teh GOTY edition where you will be able to launch it from the game in some way.
