NATO Medium Tank(50's)

M4 Sherman
Service History: Saw major action in both fronts of WWII. Proved to be a war winning tank, due to the fact American war industry could pump out Shermans faster than any nation in the world could pump out their front line Medium Tank. The Sherman later saw service in Korea, where it came up against the T-34, which it was found to be horribly ineffective against. The M4 Sherman was eventually phased out of service in main NATO nations by the late 50's, but saw service in the Middle East up to the mid 1970s in the form of gun carriages, and assault guns.

Primary Weapon: 75mm Cannon, firing AP and HE.
-Good Against: Thin-skinned vehicles, wheeled vehicles, bunkers, buildings
-Weak Against: Sloping Armor, Thick Armor, Ship Plating

Secondary Weapon: Browning .50caliber machine gun, firing AP.
-Good Against: Infantry, Low-Flying Aircraft such as helicopters(okay)
-Weak Against: Buildings, Bunkers, Armored vehicles.

Protection:
Frontal Armor: 3.0 inches
Minimum Thickness: 0.5 inches
-Fairs well against: Rounds below 75mm, rifle and machine gun fire(ground based), small explosives(grenades)
-Does not fair well againsts: Rounds above 75mm, aerial weaponry, naval weaponry, anti-tank rockets(infantry), artillery

Nicknames, Alias: "Ronson", M4, Sherman, M4A3.

Mobility:
Speed(MPH): 29mph, (KM): 42kph(right?)

Special Ability:(unique quality): Mass Deployment, low prices.
Downside: Low Armor

Is Usable through:
1950's only

true, but there's no way around it except 3D normals. and it isnt made from a 3D model so...
it looks great, only shermans are green...

Yeah, ya gotta be good to get a reward out of the time put into it. Shermans are green but it looks bleh in the regular, too bright green, so it was dark Soviet schemed.

The brown scheme you are seeing can be found in Shermans as well.

hey what if you use the last version of the m4 shermans wich was just the one more used during 50's i mean the super sherman with the new hull a long barrel and 100mm he gun, this was also used againts the arab commonwealth in the war of six days, the 75mm sherman was last used in korea but wasnt so much efective againts russian T34-85 Su-76 and IS-2 i can give you more background info about the exsact units used in war and all its modifications also you could make an m7 priest wich used the m4 hull but was an SPG

Hmm..From what I know, the Super Sherman never saw any significant service and was not manufactured in numbers.

However, the possiblilty of adding a Six-Days War scenario is pretty good. The Arab Israeli conflicts involved a lot of tank combat.

well not talking in the bad way but americans for some reason always are hidding things from the reality in war aspects. yes there was a super sherman and the designs for building it they were sold to the israel side and they produced it. remember they had only some m5, m7 tanks too old for the time when caliber thing mattered also they designed the grat merkava wich was nothing against the perfect isof stalin 3 with its 122 mm gun able to sustain nuclear wars and lots of anty tank weaporny. israel also used other tanks in the golan heighs where just taking that terrain was the obkective. some like a tank wich was the last tank designed until the abrahms i guess. since for american i just know until the vietnam war where there was just patton and m113 along with others. for cubban i herd there were some is3. i once bought a pin wich was a russian pin given to the cuban crew of a tank divition or something
