Gif problem

I am using OS SHP Builder to make a build up. I first made a .gif file which contains the whole animation. I then tried to convert this .gif into a .shp file but something went wrong. I imported the .gif file and the first frame showed up normal. The second and every other one had a white background instead of black and had pixels and parts of the pictures missing. Can someone help?
