Need suggestions/ concepts help
I'm trying to come up with a grinder type building but stuck on ideas. Anyone have a concept drawing or some other ideas for this type of structure? _________________

as in the star wars sarlaac pit? Hmmm, could do something like that but would be a bit far fetched "to futuristic" for my mod. VienHoleMonster "makeshift sarlaac pit" as a grinder? _________________

idea: a flat empty platform. When a unit walk into the platform(to get grinded), some animation(could be a ion cannon/laser or whatever) start. _________________ "I'll be staying strapped cuse my mac-eleven make my nuts bigger" QUICK_EDIT
what about something along the lines of this? Though it would need to have an access to the pit, it's just a concept as of now. The blades would drop down into the pit start spinning and emmit some sort of sparks and or smoke.

I took a bit of ideas from a few of you and I think I'm close to what I'm looking for. Though there is gonna be a few slight changes to this, it's pretty close to what I'm after. What do you think?

It's a more like a Warfactory/Naval stuff style IMO
It's more of a recycling center than an actual grinder type thing. Drop off recycling stuff at main building, it gets boxed and shipped via conveyor belt to crane, crane lifts crate to grinder pit, drops it in and starts grinding.

No worries, I know Eric's mod... it's a haywire but it has it's own charm as well.
TBH that grinding pit looks really nice and IMO that's the most fitting to the Grinder logic, the other two could be used for generic doodad.

yeah, I got a couple more things headed to eric, but there is also 2 other mods that claim stake to some of my assets as well. But like I said there will be plenty of extra's.
So anyway, I came up with a new style grinder. This one allows access from anyside to get grinded. This is the one I think I'll use. I think

I forgot to set the anims to linear, well the grinding wheels are just not the others. Thats why they look like they are spedding up and slowing down. But it's just ment to show it anyway.

made a few adjustments and added some texture, as you can see this will be for Venom faction. I'll design another recycling type station for RevengeForce. Look o.k.?

I guess you could reverse it, so the doors are open. They close once the unit has entered

why does it have doors? i think you should remove them. those drills inside are awesome and should never be ihdden.

did a bit more fooling around. All these anims will not be playing at same time. Just have them together for showing. Grinder wheels most likely will play as an active anim. And the fire smoke is just a rough draft and is why it looks bad. Also added a smashing piston.

Good work, actually digging the textures on this one. You should try doing smoke effects on grey backgrounds so they blend into the fade better. QUICK_EDIT

@Deformat, your not the only one who wants to see it in game. I'm working on it. I have to make several anims. Buildup, activeanims, idle anims, special anims, etc... The modeling part is the easy part. _________________

Maybe make the doors opening part of the build up. And the Piston is the part of the Grinding Animation. The Rollers should probably be part of its active powered animation. _________________ ~ Excelsior ~ QUICK_EDIT
