Im reorganizing the game files since im noticing lag on the main menu. My mod is mainly in expand02.mix, any tips or such?

Also is there a way to merge 2 mix files without extraction each file then placing them all into a mix?

One of the reasons of the lag on the main menu is the existence of multiplayer maps with MPR extension.

You can rename the maps to .MAP extension and then edit "missions.pkt" on notepad, to tell the game to include the maps. If you need more help just ask, I'll do what I can.

I have seen mix files within mix files but tbh I am unsure if thats a good idea.

There are mix files within mix files in the standard game (where's local.mix?), so I assume there aren't major issues doing so.
