Ikari Gunships can easily be regarded as the highest technology available to the forgotten forces. Their weapons are designed and built from stolen Nod laser technology. Despite the initial cost of high-tech lasers, the Ikari don't need expensive missiles or other type of ammunition to operate. This allows the various more militarized forgotten factions to maintain small but effective airforces. Nod has shown great interest in the Ikari and many speculate it will only be a matter of time before they will have their own laser equipped aircraft. The Ikari Gunships are slow but decently armored, and the double laser cannons are equally effective against every armor and unit type. If they are able to complete all 5 of their attack runs they can deal alot of damage. Unfortunately due to their slow speed they are quite vulnerable while attacking. Ikari Gunships require special powered helipads to recharge their weapons.
