Get a pen drive, make a schedule to back up all your important data every night to it. Or get a large amount of FTP space and make it upload automatically every night. Even partition your hard drive to have all the data on a separate bit, it won't be harmed if your Windows installation is affected with a virus (to my knowledge, anyway, I've never actually had a virus to know that).
