Rocky wouldn't make sense, why would you fight in rocky conditions if it was USA, Britain and Russia? You would most likely be fighting in either snow or desert. You could easily incoorporate interior style terrain as seen in Red Alert in either the temperate or snow terrain. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
Rocky Terrain should be in desert or in grass terrain as small obstacles and things not as a full terrain set, like you get in original TS with rocky ground sections, it would be very odd to have a full rocky terrain. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

agreed while the snow terrain isnt the coolest one it is still useful..................ya know what i would like to see. i think it would be cool to have the snow as a terrain type so that you can add it to other maps that are normally temperate....... soo there is all this green then splotches of snow. it could help indicate the end of winter or something.............but do what you want to do.......but i would like to see new terrain..........BTW what are you using to create the new terrain as i have been wanting to mess around with a terrain editor thing for awhile to see what i could make............ _________________ Kalistia Crestland (2)

Terrain can be made in photoshop. Make a screenie of the tileset in finalsun and just edit it. Then, paste it in the shp editor with the right pal, remove odd pixels, open up the new TMP editor (the modified one) paste away over a similar tile and you're ready to go.
And yes, snow trrain is a must, unless you want to have tilesets for semi-different theaters, like jungle ground and trees for temperate. QUICK_EDIT
Replace the old grass tiles in the grassland terrain with snow tiles, and have snow be desert/rocky. Or have snow be grass/snow and temperate be desert/rocky. _________________

I'd prefer mostly the Tiberian Dawn temperate/snow where the map was mostly normal temperate, however, somewhere was piles of snow, under every tree there was snow, and even next to rivers there were snow. I can't remember if cliffs had snow in them... _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Arctic: 6 (TS-style snow w/ ice)
Jungle: 3 (green with lots of trees)
Inside: 2 (self explanitory)
Snowy: 1 (TD-style w/ some snow but mostly grass )
My suggestions:
1: TD style grass with some snow as the standard, but TS style all snow as an option.

Not to mention the fact that it makes no sense. There are no large volcanic areas in the world that are good for fighting, and if there is, there would be very little and it would be pointless to have a terrain for just one map.
I seriously think Temperate/Snow and Desert/Rocky would be the best. _________________
